The current version is designed to work without an account and stores only device-local choices needed for the experience.

Stored on your device
Your saved trip recommendation and Pocket Mode favorites are stored in your browser’s local storage. They are used to restore the experience on that browser and are not sent to a First-trip Spanish account.
The offline service worker caches site files and Spanish audio so Pocket Mode can continue working without a connection.

Privacy-minimized audience measurement
Google Analytics runs in Consent Mode with analytics storage, advertising storage, ad user data, and ad personalization denied. First-trip Spanish removes its Google Analytics cookies and does not show an analytics popup or store an analytics preference.
Google may receive limited cookieless measurement signals such as the page visited, browser or device information, consent state, and approximate location derived from the connection. First-trip Spanish disables Google Signals and advertising personalization and does not send form fields because the site has no contact form. Google states that GA4 discards the IP address before it is logged.

Email and outside services
If you email hello@firsttripspanish.com, the email providers involved process and store the address, message, and delivery metadata needed to deliver and answer it. Do not send sensitive personal information.
Links to official sources, app stores, or future clearly marked affiliate partners take you to services with their own privacy policies. This notice will be updated when the site’s data practices materially change.
